I’ve been busy, as you can see in the Corn, Watermelon and Summer Salsa articles, making all sorts of salsas! One constant in most salsa recipes is the cilantro herb. Herbs are not cheap nowadays so I am always trying to keep them as fresh as I can for as long as I can.
So how do I keep my cilantro fresh and ready to use for my salsa recipes?
You know how you are just cruising around the Internet, looking at this, looking at that? Well I was just doing that and found a fun new product called Firefly Magic! These battery operated lights simulate the blinking of fireflies so well that scientists are using them to lure real “lightning bugs” in to study them! I think they are going to look great and be so much fun in the bushes surrounding my patio this summer!
Do you like using scallions, aka green onions, in your cooking? I buy, let me correct that, bought them all the time, until my daughter, Allison, pinned an article on Pinterest that explains how to regrow them indefinitely from the roots that are usually attached to the ones I buy!
